Fine and Dandy offers a retail experience that is an eclectic mix of handmade and re-presented abandoned or unloved objects. We endeavour to see the potential in things by re-shaping, re-working, re-purposing and re-presenting. Not following trends but instead finding beauty in imperfection. We are inspired by these words of William Morris:
“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or beautiful”.
Our shops celebrate natural materials; in particular the endless beauty of wood and paper. We curate our collection based on good design, good quality, flexible function and our shared aesthetic. We make, collect and sell what we ourselves like. We hope others will like it too.
Our shops are situated at the heart of popular destinations. We have established three studios in converted stable blocks at the centre of Worden Park a public park in Leyland and have another studio shop at the heart of a former pig farm, Cedar Farm Galleries in Mawdesley. We are situated close to junction 28 of the M6 in Leyland and junction 27 of the M6 in Mawdesley. Our stores are open 4 days a week in Leyland: Thursday to Sunday 11am-4pm and 6 days a week in Mawdesley: Tuesday to Sunday 10am-5pm, you can also shop with us online or call and collect.
