This doorstop is made from a piece of 18th century roof beam.

The aged effect has been made into a feature resulting from extensive power brushing of the loose fibres which leaves the natural aging highlighted beautifully. It has been finished with clear wax. The whale tail handle adds to the crisp look and celebrates the strong, durable appearance of this old timber.
